Boot on the Road: From Connecticut to Mexico! (Day 1)

Pinar O.

🚩 Day 1

Our first stop was Beacon, NY.

While waiting for Jonathan, we had lunch, checked our notes, and talked about "wow, what are we doing?" We started to feel Boot's surreal energy even in the lunch. It was a cold day, we were eating outside, and we couldn't even eat our lunch without leaving the table like five times to talk with the people. Everyone was asking what is this thing or/and if they could take some photos. That was when we understood what Jesse and Jim had told us. This red, strong, powerful, and extraordinary energy spreader machine was turning all the eyes on it.

The Boot was a monster.

An exquisite beautiful monster.

People love it!

We adore it!

And we realized once again what we did was an incredible adventure.

Everyone is taking pictures, asking questions, and yelling at us, "Good luck at Baja."

The love and support that we see are extraordinary, making us so proud. Today was a great start, and we arrived in Pennsylvania without any single issue!

Everything was amazing. We decided to drive a couple of hours more and stop at the hotel to rest.

Planned to be on the road again next morning from State College, Pennsylvania, to Ohio!

Somebody was screaming inside me and saying non-stop, "Wait for us, Route 66! We are coming, and it is not a joke anymore!"

I planned to open all the windows, talk with Steve McQueen, yell to the sky, and say, "thank you for the inspiration, Steve."

What a day!

We drove until like 10 pm. Everything was beyond our imagination.

We had a very smooth and easy first day.

Our second-day goal is to drive a minimum of twelve hours tomorrow. Stayed in Pennsylvania the first night. With lots of ideas on our minds.
