Happy International Women's Day!

Pinar O.

On this special and meaningful day, we celebrate all the women of the world!

The most beautiful thing about being a woman;

Women can think, feel, work, play, fight, love, race the Baja 1000, etc., as well as bear and nurse babies. This precious human life is a beautiful thing. May all women -and men- live in peace, safety, and happiness!

If I had a magic wand;

I would end all wars, forever and ever.

The most beautiful thing about being a woman;

...the power to do anything.

...the freedom to be delicate, strong, and embrace every emotion in between.

...the gift of being a mom.

...showing my daughter every day that women can be unstoppable.

...Girl Power.

If I had a magic wand;

I would eliminate negative judgement - of self and others - because believing you should be different, or that you are better or worse than others, is destructive in so many ways.

The most beautiful thing about being a woman;

Being a woman is a beautiful thing! The ability to do many things simultaneously, agile intelligence, the power of thinking and perception, being organized, endless energy. Significantly, the value of such a miracle as being a mother is an indescribable thing.

If I had a magic wand;

I would destroy the inequality of opportunity, especially for the children. Because all the children of the world deserve the best of everything, regardless of language, religion, body-color, country of birth. Because raising children happy, kindly, mixed with science and art is the only way to solve all the world's problems. It is all we need to raise children without war, without fighting, sensitive to nature and mother earth, and loving.

I believe that any situation involving children and women is above politics. Educating a woman is a situation that will affect her entire family and future generations. If I really had the magic wand in my hand, I would turn all the world's women into a mindset that believes in science, who reads a lot, who respects art, who fights for freedom, rights and equity in every aspect of life. And this change would naturally have changed the children as well.

The most beautiful thing about being a woman;

Being a mother!

If I had a magic wand;

I would give everyone the ability to have empathy, to feel what another person is going through and use that to make positive changes in their own behaviors, community and world.

The most beautiful thing about being a woman;

Our ability to be both.

“Both”- in means of encompassing various capabilities that are a harmonious dichotomy in ways of being- specifically ones that coincide with the ability to radically adapt circumstantially in a manner that requires deep feeling, understanding, as well as strong and vital intuition. As women, we can be both masculine and feminine, logical and intuitive, unyielding and compassionate, and both cautious and fearless. In other words, we have many hats and are consistently, consciously choosing the best one for different situations in order to be the best version of ourselves.

For example, as a mother, you have to be both stern and kind. As a businesswoman, you have to be both strong and flexible. As a wife, you have to be both supportive and understanding. I believe there is an unmistakable art in mastering the ability to utilize these characteristics harmoniously when adapting to different circumstances and is something that commonly goes unrecognized. Meanwhile men are equivalently capable of enacting this very same skill, I believe women have refined it in a way that is incredibly inspiring and beautiful.

If I had a magic wand;

If I had a magic wand in my hand, I would change how we, as a society, treat and communicate with each other. How we communicate and understand one another is crucial to creating a cohesive environment in which we can not only survive in, but thrive in. When I look some of the problems we face in the world today, I can only think of how many could of these issues could actually be solved if we just communicated more openly, were more accepting and understanding of each other, and treated each other with more compassion and kindness. In regards, a little can go a very long way.
